Places I have been for vacation.

Retired in Tampa with my wonderful girlfriend Jen. I have accomplished quite a bit in my 50 years. Not as much as some but more than most. One of my favorite rewards of recognition is a platinum album for work I did with Bruce Springsteen on his "the River" album. Yes, it was an album back when vinyl was king. It was however mastered digitally and one of the first records to be digitally mastered as well. This was at Clover studios in Hollywood.

Born and raised in So. California in the 60’s and 70’s. I was always very fortunate with jobs.

Worked with a couple friends at a sound reinforcement company (Pacific Sound West) but that does not really count as I never made much money at that.

My first real job was Dyn electronics as a senior in High school after school I would go there. Then during the next summer went to full time. Worked on pong video games and clock radios with a weather band. Here is a funny story. Worked with at that time a friend of my brothers from band, now one of my best and oldest friends John, our workbenches were mounted back to back but we could not see each other as we had all sorts of electronic equipment on the benches. After a bit we got real good at making our quota for repairing the pong games.  So we would met our quota usually before lunch and spend the rest of the day playing pong with each other. Nobody ever knew as you could not see his bench screen and mine at the same time.

Anaheim sports when Disney took them over was a fun job rebuilding the baseball stadium offices and also doing some work at the pond in Anaheim. It was just a temp job.

Went into computers after working at EMI America and Elektra records. The music industry was nice and fun, especially working with big artists like Bruce and Bob Dylan, but I was not one of those people who could sell themselves very well and in that industry most people had humongous egos. It was not a good fit.

Went into computers as I loved them from the first moment I touched one. Sales, programming and supporting. I was top seller in the San Gabriel valley for the Amiga. What an amazing machine with bad company management. Worked on Kaypro, Corona, NCR and lots of other brands that are either no longer around or they were absorbed into other companies. Now love the Mac and have a hate hate relationship with windows computers.

My last job was with NHRA traveling the country setting up equipment at national events.

Being retired does not mean life stops. I am cooking meals and taking care of our four greyhounds. I make all their dog food. 10 lbs of dog food a week.

There is a bike trail close by called Flatwoods park and yes it is flat. So I started riding my bike there late in 2009 and have logged over 1,500 miles since then. It is amazing the wildlife here in Florida. Wild turkeys, alligators, wild boers and turtles. The birds vultures, hawks, sand hill cranes, cardinals, humming birds. I see a lot of it on the bike trail and some while driving around.

Still enjoy playing with the car. Jen and I both have Lotus Elises. I have been doing all my own repairs and maintenance and enjoy it.

Going to run some errands now. Keep in touch with me on facebook. The link is on the left panel.
